On-tap 12/12/2011 at the brewpub, in Providence, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep golden brown color with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains piney hops, caramelized malts and some citrus.

T: The taste starts out with a good burst of grassy hops bitterness followed by a mild citrus and caramel sweetness. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a good beer to drink for a long time.

A cloudy dark amber beer. Has a small off white head with a nice lace effect. The aroma was all grapefruit and hops with a light tea like character in the background. The flavor starts with a good hoppy bittersweet grapefruit taste that slides into a mild malt note with an easy dry hop finish.

Oooh, good. Poured the color of rusty. With the haze to match. Almost as if someone put a rusty nail in a bottle of water and let it sit. No head of note, just a slight film. Lots of layered lace as I drank. The aroma was of tarnished hops, not much else of note. The falvor was full of hops. Some sweet, some bittersweet, and some other that were more biting. All nicely balanced. A mild explosion, but not overwhelming. Also had wood tones and some citrus (grapefruit). The carbonation was wierd, it went flat pretty quickly. Same thing happened to the other beer style I tried and I wondered aloud if there was something wrong with their pipings. This was a great beer for a Friday afternoon when I snuck out of work early.
