On-tap 2/6/2017 at the brewpub in Providence, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep medium brown color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains brown sugar, caramelized malts, Belgian yeast, fruit and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of caramel, brown sugar and fruit. The hops presence is very mild but complementary and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: A little smooth but not very crisp and a bit watery, medium body, light-to-medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, decent representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.
