Ah, the backlog of cellphone reviews. I've hit the maximum, so time to start entering. Consumed in june or july 2010.
From the menu: 7.1% ABV, 80 IBUs.
A- Deep copper in the pour. Sandy tan head, spectacular lacing on the glass.
S- Very bready nose, also some dusty pine sap.
T- Zesty pine hops at first- but they go in a weird direction. Peppery on the tongue and a bit astringent.
M- Not the best finish... too bitter (but lacking hop flavor) and the astringency is there as well. Hmm.
O- A serviceable but forgettable IPA. Seems like it was kitchen-sink hopped- IE they threw a bunch in to ratchet up the IBUs without considering the final blend's impact on the tongue. Maybe I'm talking out of my ass, though.
Not bad, but not a reason to pass Trinity's IPA up for this one.

On-tap 8/23/09 at the brewpub Providence, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large off-white head that fades very slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of floral hops, caramelized malts and some citrus.
T: The taste starts with a strong burst of hops bitterness that is followed by caramel and citrus sweetness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly bitter.
M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a nice hoppy beer that is worth drinking for a while.

I took home a growler of this brew on a recent visit ot the pub.
The beer pours a clear amber color with frothy eggshell white head that leaves windowpane lattice as it fades.
Aroma is piney and grassy/planty hops but the nose isnt overpowering, hints of caramel poke through as well.
First sip reveals an average body with fine rolling carbonation.
the flavor is briefly caramel but rolls to very planty/grassy hops with some pine on the finish that is also fairly drying. No hint of ABV an easy drinking IPA.
