On-tap 10/4/09 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep golden brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of caramelized malts, spices, citrus and hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet and a little spicy, with flavors of caramel, citrus and honey. Then a good hops bitterness comes in to provides some balance. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a nice beer with some flavor and substance to session with for a long time.
