On-tap 12/12/2010 at the brewpub in Providence, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramel, light malts, honey, nuts and a faint touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of honey and caramel. Then a thin malt character comes in but it's about where it should be for the style. There's a very mild but complementary hops presence and a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Smooth and a little crisp but a little watery, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, very mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent poundable beer worth drinking for a while.
