Ah, the backlog of cellphone reviews. I've hit the maximum, so time to start entering. Consumed in june or july 2010.
A- Hazy gold, unfiltered, 1cm fluffy head. Pale and peachy in coloration, not much lacing.
S- Big belgian yeast character, some grassy and hearthy (as well as fruity) hop notes.
T- Strong yeast presence, intense bitterness. More than expected, but I like it. Earthy and chalky.
M- Earthy, chalky bitterness. Lots of sediment. A little messy, would like to see it a bit more focused.
O- Overall, this is an interesting beer, but it's def. not even close to the best in the style. This was listed as a belgian golden ale, but i think the classification of 'belgian IPA' is right on- my closing note of my phone review was 'belgian IPA???'. If I go back to Union and see it, I'll prob. order another pint- one of the more interesting things on their beer menu.

On-tap 12/12/2010 at the brewpub in Providence, RI, served in a small goblet glass.
A: The beer is a light reddish brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains hops, Belgian yeast, citrus and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with a nice burst of hops bitterness that is quickly followed by sweet flavors of caramel and citrus. Then bready flavors from a strong Belgian yeast backbone and a hearty malt character come in to provide a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Smooth and very crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, nice representation of style, this is a very good stronger and hoppy Belgian beer worth drinking for a long time.
