Sampler at Union Station
A - Deep dark black with a thing dark brown head.
S - Acrid, coffee dominates the smell. Some sweetish malt notes but mostly dark coffee
T - The smell was right there. It has some slight roasty malt notes but the acridity totally overpowers everything. It's more of a burned coffee flavor than anything else.
M - Way too thin for the style and allows the burnt coffee flavor to dominate as there is not enough malt background
O - A great idea that I was excited to try. I give them credit for giving it a go but they missed big time.
