Poured from can into pint glass in Grants, NM! Darker than usual IPA. Product of maltiness. Decent--Clayton loves its "oily smoothness".

Surprisingly good IPA. It is darker in color than the average IPA but not very roasty. The carbonization is smooth, almost creamy. Decent hop flavor but a tiny bit more bitter than I would prefer. Very smooth beer.

Nice light golden colored IPA, not a real pronounced nose on this pint, but the flavor was definitely there.
Light bodied mouthfeel with citrus notes and a well balanced bitterness. I like this IPA a lot as it tends to be a little less heavy and hop forward as some other IPAs from this region.

A good east coast IPA. Gets a bad wrap here in Abq because of the intense hoppy styles of IPA that other breweries do.

Light copper color. Light citrus aroma with a lovely creamy texture. Full body with a subtle pineapple taste. Light alcohol heat in the end

This can was labeled "Almanac" no mention of Farmers, so it may be something other than what Beer Advocate has here. Pours dull orange, no head.Smells hoppy. Tastes of bitter hops, no other taste. Flavor lasts. Feels smooth going down with some edge. Not too bad, but one-dimensional.

On tap at brewery. So far, I'm underwhelmed. And the streak continues. Average pour with citrus aroma. Taste falls off, flat, uninteresting. Creamy body boosts this a bit, but not enough to save it. Just plain dull

From a 12 oz can (dated April 7, 2015) into a shaker pint glass. Reviewed from notes dated June 21, 2015.
A-The beer is pretty light in color with a yellow/straw hued murky liquid sitting below and nearly white head of foam. The head is sticky and clings to the glass in chunks.
S-The aroma is fruity and hop heavy. I sniff some apricot, pineapple, floral notes, lemon, and very little in the way of malts. Bitterness is lower than many IPAs and I don't get much pine or grapefruit.
T-The taste is similar. A unique, fruity hop flavored mixture but without a lot of the pine or grapefruit that you might expect. Balance comes in the form of some light toffee malt flavors.
M-The body is on the lighter side of things, but the beer has a bit of a chewy feel. Strange.
O-My notes say "odd" a few times and that is probably the best way to describe this beer. It is quite hoppy, but not very bitter or aggressive to my palate. My can was not super fresh when I tasted, but you would expect the fruitiness of the hops to have faded, not the malts, but this beer tasted like the malts had given up. Odd. Anyway, this is not my favorite IPA, but it has some nice, unique fruit flavors.

Pours a clear golden-orange color with a tight, white head that leaves chunks of lacing.
Smells of pine and citrus notes.
Tastes of the citrus hops up front layered on a solid malt base. Hops lead off with pine and grapefruit as well as some slightly herbal qualities. Malts come through next and add a bit of caramel sweetness and toasted bread. Finishes fairly dry with a bit of lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium-light with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a solid IPA, but not anything special.
