Kärleksfika, or ‘Coffee break of love’, is a pastry sour ale with loads of blackcurrants, blackberries, and a touch of vanilla. Costa Rican Santa Rosa 1900 coffee beans, roasted by amazing Koppi, adds lovely flavors and aromas to this coffee break sour.

Copenhagen 9/9 2022. 33 cl tall slim can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Red can with a honey heart smeared with marmalade and covered by blackberries and coffee beans.
Pours opaque murky dark red with a small pink head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a scent of ripe berries and only a light touch of sourness. Blackberries and currants. Citrus concentrate. Hints of roasted coffee.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour without much redeeming sweetness. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry with a touch of coffee.
Not as sweet as I thought judging from the layout of the can.
