Black Mist is a classic Scottish Wee Heavy.
Dark malts and caramel malts, along with a touch of roasted barley and smoked malt, give a beer that is both challenging and easy to drink. Moderate hopping with English hops to create balance and counterpoint to the malt flavor.
Black Mist is a classy companion to almost any food, and it is formidable for cozy conversation or time alone.

Copenhagen 29/6 2022. 33 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. What looks like a shoal of a star landscape on the label.
Pours opaques dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet toasty malty odor mingling with a salty scent. Sweet, dark and roasted malts, toffee, salty bacon and sea breeze.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Salty tang. Aftertaste is sweet with a salty undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
A fine salty specimen. Subdued nose but a solid flavor.
