Copenhagen 22/4 2023. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Light blue version of Aarø's usual label design with a rank of hops and the silhouette of the island Aarø.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, slightly perfumed odor of ripe berries mingling with a bit of tart citrus fruit. Sweet blackberries and raspberries. Hints of decay. Light whiff of citrus and orange. Herbal touch.
Medium sarong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet fruity undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
A bit too Herbal for my taste buds.
