Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a Willi Becher glass. It is a hazy, dirty orange with over a finger of fluffy, bright white head and thick, soapy lacing. A most attractive pour. The fruity nose includes lemon, lime, grapefruit, red berry, clementine, pineapple, and a whiff of onion. Its taste is mellow with notes of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and orange/tangerine over a dry, grassy malt base. The hop bill isn't specified but there is a mild, clean bitterness throughout. It is a refreshing ale. It has a great mouth feel: plush and creamy with fairly mild carbonation, and it is very easy to drink at 6.8% ABV. Overall, Lakeside is a solid, tasty New England IPA. I like that it is not overly sweet.
