A Belgian dubbel that gives you a nice sweetness. It has notes of raisins and licorice. It is full-bodied and gives a nice mouthfeel.

Copenhagen 24/8 2021. 50 cl bottle from Vinoble, Centrumpladsen, Svendborg. Fine stylized silhouette illustration from the H.C. Andersen fable the Swineherd on the label.
Pours clear dark amber with a mid-sized off-white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark, sweet fermented odor mingling with some harsh grainy fumes. Brown sugar, caramel, sweet almond liqueur, fermented plum.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly thin. Sweetish with a sour undertone. Finish is semi-dry.
Very much on the sugary side yet not without a harsh sourness.
