Fyrtøjet Anno 1835
This Ale can make Odense proud. It embraces a wide range and looks good with its light amber color and delicious foam on top. The beer is slightly bitter with a lovely round taste of malt with caramel notes. The hops give a touch of herbs, which together with a hint of chili and licorice, make this Ale a pleasure for the palate. Enjoy at 5 to 8 degrees.

Copenhagen 23/7 2021. 50 cl bottle from Vinoble, Centrumpladsen, Svendborg. Stylized and stylish illustration from The Tinderbox with the Soldier, the Witch and some very big eyes on the label.
Pours clear, dark maroon with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin patch and a thin ring of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty and odor. Burnt brown sugar, caramel, toffee, raisins and sweet bread. Light, sour, grainy notes.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a modest sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Rather dry finish.
A bit too sweet and Candy-like for me.
