Über Doppelbock is strongly inspired by the German doppelbock, but unlike its German cousins, it is top-fermented to bring out more nuances in the taste experience.
The malt flavor stands out clearly with a hint of smoke. All in all, a complex, round and pleasant beer.
Should be served at 9-12 degrees in goblet-shaped glasses.

Copenhagen 13/4 2020. 33 cl bottle from Beerlivery web-shop. Very black and red label with a very silly goat staring at me.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized off-white, yellow-ish head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense. Strong malty sweetness and a light whiff of alcohol. Caramel, brown sugar, toffee, lightly roasted malts. Light presence of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and a little fizzy texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness and almost no bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. Light tart dryness in the finish.
It might not be heavy or German but an overall decent take on a malty Doppelbock.
