Copenhagen 31/3 2020. 50 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård web-shop. A snowy night-time sky with the name of the beer in red partially covered in snow. Ho ho ho.
Pours unclear amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a strong sweet entourage of raisins, brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon and a light whiff of alcohol. Light notes of tobacco and leather.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light sourish undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet with a light touch of alcohol.
Quite typical Danish Christmas Beer. A lot of sweet stuff, a little spices and a little alcohol. Not terrible - but a bit generic.
