Copenhagen 3/4 2023. 50 cl bottle brought home from Varde by my in-laws. Simple white label stating the basic facts about the beer.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a big light beige head. Settles as 1 cm thick, frothy layer of foam crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with dark and sweet malty odor mingling with earthy and a bit sharp scent. Toffee, caramel and chocolate. Dark licorice. Oaky, boozy notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is prominently bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Pretty potent and laden with licorice and bitterness.
