Copenhagen 29/3 2019. 50 cl bottle from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihavnsgade, Kbh Ø. Usual design for Primators Speciality line in clear blue.
Pours slightly unclear golden amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, transparent layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Thin rim along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is subdued, boozy and malty sweet. Bready, grainy, metallic alcohol, white sugar.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness followed by a medium, lightly spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on being sugary. Boozy after-burn. Lingers for a while.
Very sweet and boozy Czech strong beer. Could be the instigator of monumental hangovers.

November 2004: (500 ml bottle). Golden colour, good thick head. Aroma of molasses and alcohol, hints of oak. Flavour is very sweet and alcoholic, a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish can’t save this beer from being too cloying sweet in my book.

Frosty pint on tap at Le Pery, Toulouse, FR.
Delivered pretty well headless, on gold brew.
Nose is cereal malt, sugar, yeast.
Taste comes in sweet, with a touch of caramel, delicate sharpness, and subtle hop bitterness.
Mouth is quite full, low end of medium carbonation.
Overall, this Imperial Czech Lager puts its toes on the line of Malt Liquor, but it’s buzz worthy and doesn’t suck.
