Copenhagen 20/0 2024. 50 cl bottle from Marius Mortensen Eftf. Nykøbing Falster. Light brown and simple label with the name and brewery and short description of the beer including a recommendation to go with a stew.
Pours unclear, opaque, murky dark brown with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet, malty odor mingling with sweet alcohol. Brown sugar in abundance, caramel and toffee. Sweet liqueur, plums and alcohol.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is very sweet with a touch of alcohol. Lingers a for a while. Finish is saturated in sugar.
A very sweet take on a Doppelbock.
