A fresh Amber Ale with good malt tones, inspired by microbreweries in California. Copious amounts of dark caramel malt and a generous addition of British First Gold bitter hops and Cascade hops provide that characterized flavor as well balances the malt. The result is a nice dark amber ale with a good taste of both hops and malt.

Copenhagen 21/8 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Virklund's usual design in amber and green with a drawing of a little amber fox on the label.
Very gushy upon opening. Pours unclear amber with a big white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweetish malty odor and light roastiness peeking in. Caramel, lightly roasted malts, hints of brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and a bit thin. Finish is watery.
A bit on the thin side but with a pleasant enough nose.
