Copenhagen 30/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Virklund's usual design with a drawing of a hop plant with flowers on the label.
Pours hazy amber with a big white head. Settles as frothy, uneven, lumpy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a light malty sweet odor mingling with sharp, thin, citric notes. Caramel. Oranges and peach. Citrus and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, lively, tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. Lingers for a bit. Semi-dry finish.
A bit on the thin side - but with a decent bitterness and balance.
