A quite small taproom with a random selection of low and high tops, plus a few cushoined lounge seats, this Pivotal satellite has a colorful, trippy decor of almost 70s yet modern psychedelic murals and paintings over a classic checkered tile floor soundtracked by a solid alt mix. There's no a/c so it can be quite swelteringly hot during high temp and humidity days. There's a ceiling fan, which we sat under, as we had already been waking around outside all day. There was also an oscillating fan that was set up on the other side. There apparently is a biergarten, though we didn't step out to look at it.
The bartender graciously offered tastes of a few beers without us asking as we waffled to recover from the fact that the old lady looked at the wrong taproom's draft list. We settled on two different beers that were fine to good, but didn't have enough time to really dig in to much else. The selection featured an okay variety, and the quality seemed fairly level. They also offer draft wine and alternative beverages as, on top of the current state of craft beer more broadly today, it seems quite clear that this area sees more foot traffic from locals who aren't looking to drink as much as the tourists down by the wharf, even though it's really not that much further of a walk.
