On cask at the C'est What Fall Festival.
Black body with no head and no lacing. Nose is weedy, herbal, roast and unripened/'greeny fruit character. Light malt sweetness. Taste has honeydew melon, herbal weed, black malts, and a bitter roasty character. Alcohol is definitely present. Medium heavy body, with a good bit of alcohol. An interesting beer/style blend but it's too harsh for me to repeat with.

Deep brown, ruby in the light, about a finger of dense off white head, big sheets of lace down the glass. Smell is smokey and lightly roasted, bits of chocolate and dark fruit are present as well, a nice hop presence and some yeast notes, a bit of grainy caramel as well. Taste is smokey with bits of roast followed by a ton of grainy-malty flavours, nicely hopped but not overly bitter and pretty well balanced that way, more chocolate and lager yeast here as well with a smokey and lightly roasted aftertaste. Lighter end of medium carbonation, medium body though thicker at some points, good feel. This was actually quite nice and if time wasn't a factor I could have seen myself having another, quite a nice offering.
