I dropped in at High Steel a couple weeks ago and had a couple beers and some lunch. The space is a big taproom with an eclectic mix of picnic tables, bar seating, and living room furniture. There’s a game room off to the side with pinball and arcade games and stuff, from which you can see the brewhouse itself. Cool!
They had 7 of their beers on tap plus some ciders and guest beers as well. Styles includeed IPA, stout, amber ale, Vienna lager, Irish red, light lager, and a pilsner. I had the IPA and Vienna lager and they were both solid! I had a smoked cheesesteak and cole slaw and the food was really good.
The service was friendly; it seemed like a meeting place with a small town vibe. I dig it.
