Porter is an English beer type and the name comes from the English word for dock worker – “porter”.
Our porter is a bitter beer that uses two classic hop types, one of which has been grown all the way back to the 1800s.
Black as night, but with a touch of floral sweetness, coffee and licorice. The porter of the harbourmaster has been given an extra shot of hops.

Copenhagen 21/2 2018. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Very grey and calm harbor on the label. So I can get maritime and depressed at the same time.
Pours opaque dark brown with light beige bubbly head. Settles as flimsy, thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Not much lacing.
Aroma is sweetish and intense. Some bitter notes. Milk chocolate, caramel and strong hints of coffee and dark bitter chocolate.
Soft carbonation giving a creamy but slightly thin texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is a little thin and watery for a Porter.
Nice smell but kind of thin when it comes to flavor.
