On draught at the brewery.
A straw colored pour with moderate clarity, a thin head and no lacing.
The toasted malt flavor is accompanied with a pleasantly smooth smokiness. Strong enough to get your attention, but not harsh at all. Reminiscent of the crispy ends of a cut of beef roasted over a wood fire. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation.
A little tangy on the finish with a pleasant subtle smokiness that lingers.
I’m not sure why the bartender didn’t pour it with a decent head. I may get some to go, and enjoy at home.
