"Introducing a new beer brewed in Massachusetts for Massachusetts drinkers. And because you can only get it here, we made it just how you like it. Light, crisp and easy to drink – so you can go back to the well again and again. Masshole Light pairs perfectly with afternoon Keno, wearing shorts in February and making sure no one thinks they’re better than you."

From 12 oz can dated 02/17/26. Sampled on April 20, 2026

The color is about what you would expect with an olive-yellow appearance and a slight fog. Quick lasting fizzy white head.

The aroma emits barley grain, white bread, biscuit, and floral hops. Nothing unappealing for the style.

Light-medium mouthfeel.

The taste has a sweet bready character enhanced by the mild-moderate floral bitterness that kicks in at the finish. It finishes crisp and easy. It is basically what I hope for in a light lager, so it is worth an above average score.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a straw color with a fizzy white head. The head has a decent level of retention, leaving a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready and doughy smell mixed with a very light caramel smell.
Taste – The taste starts with bready and doughy taste mixed with a bit of caramel sweetness and a light rice. There is a touch of wheat and a super light earthy hop. As the taste advances, the malt fades a bit as the sweet increases with a bit of corn joins in, leaving one with a rather light and easy natured taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is light and thin with a higher carbonation level.
Overall – An easy drinking brew. Not a flavor powerhouse, but nice and easy for sessioning.
