Tasted by half pint at the Junction Tavern (Tufnell Park, North London), during their three-day mini-beerfest. 3-5 Feb. Gravity-dispensed.
A: pours a reddish-amber hue, without any sign of a beer head; very lightly-carbonated.
S: candyish and caramel-malts dominates the nose; after swirling, a strong smell of "grandma's drawer" comes through--meaning a mixed touch of sour, woody, nutty, and lightly damp... Pretty nice and different, though~~
T: lightly smoked(?) and woody maltiness with a lovely sour tinge of prunes, cherries, and Japanese yogurt drink... gradually softening and leading to a lingering fruity and juicy malty aftertone.
M&D: very soft on the mouthfeel, in fact overly soft due to almost no support of fizz... Could be much better and quaffable if given a more lively texture.
