A 330ml can with a BB of March 2019. Given to me recently as a gift. Brewed for Bison Beer in Brighton, and celebrating the local football team ahead of the 2018 season.
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A rich, hazy amber hue with fine suspended sediment and plentiful carbonation. Yields a huge head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before slowly subsiding to a thick surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of intensely fruity hops with hints of tropical fruit, mango, papaya, white grape, berries, mild citrus zest, ale yeast, light earthiness and pale malt. Superb.
T: Tastes of seriously fruity aromatic hops with notes of tropical fruit, mango, stone fruit, white grape, berries, subtle citrus, earthiness, ale yeast and pale malt. Pretty dry, followed by a moderate hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with quite soft carbonation and good body. Lightly astringent - hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, tropical fruit, white grape, mild earthiness, yeast and faint malt.
O: Lovely - a fresh, fruity APA with light bitterness. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with fruity hop notes and subtle yeast/malt. Nice body. Goes down like a dream; well worth sampling if you have the chance.
