Copenhagen 27/5 2022. 33 cl clear glass bottle. Gift from my Girlfriend (I might never forgive her). Light green label with a big Q in a darker shade of green.
Pours opaque, murky and dirty, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of grains - Quinoa, I presume - with a light whiff of sweet, ripe fruit and cooked vegetables. Sweet melon, linoleum and wallpaper paste. Light whiff of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, slightly greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and herbal. Lingers for a while. Finish is herbal and sugary.
I would not say that this is a strong case for replacing Barley, Wheat and Oat with Quinoa.
