Copenhagen 16/3 2020. 33 cl bottle from Beerlivery web-shop. Black label with Corrupt Cake written in Horror-letters.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small, bubbly, dark beige head. Disappears fairly fast leaving what looks like a decarbonated Coca Cola behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, very sweet - and definitely cake-inspired - and boozy. Dark fermented fruit, sugary sweetness from brown sugar and molasses. Light roast and a little coffee bittertness rummaging in the background. Liquor-like odor of sweet alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense and heavy sweet. Light coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a prominent presence of alcohol. Lingering into a sweet and boozy finish.
On the verge of being cloying and too sweet. But then again - what do I expect when opening a beer named Corrupt Cake.
