Supernova is a top-fermented India Pale Lager, made with Pale malt, Carapils, and Cara Munich II. Dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Centennial, and Simcoe. A medium-bodied beer with the easy-drinking qualities typical of bottom-fermented varieties. Tropical and floral notes appear on the nose. Supernova is not filtered or clarified. It's a lively beer, where the yeasts naturally present in the can determine the product's evolution over time. Store refrigerated.

Notes via stream of consciousness: This is an INDIA PALE LAGER at 5.7% ABV. It's poured a hazy golden body (it's unfiltered) beneath a short head of bright white foam that holds well and leaves a good amount of lacing behind. The aroma is citrusy, piney, peppery, herbal, and tropically fruity over a sweet malt base. The flavor follows but adds in some pineapple, lychee, white grape, and woody-spiciness. The herbal note seems almost minty at times, and the spiciness seems to pop up here, there, and everywhere but never really in the same spot. The pineapple seems to be the dominant note of the tropical fruits but the lychee comes on strong as well. It's firmly bitter allowing the sweetness of the malt to appear upfront, and then drying it and leaving it bitter in the finish with a dollop of malt and some woody-spicy and herbal hops lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the fuller side, and gently crisp. I think it could be a little bit more refined, and with clearer hop notes (but I always want more hops so there's that).
