Copenhagen 12/1 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Very detailed Drawing on the label with a touch of Horror Vacui. The rock “Rokkestenen” is in the centre surrounded by a lot of corn ears and the silhouette of the island Bornholm. The brewery seems preoccupied with producing beers for each tourist sight on the island.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggeling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense, sweet and a little bit nutty. Caramel, toffee, light odor of brown sugar, toffee. Light sour-ish notes.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a moderate sour-ish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish-ish. Lingers for a bit.
Not very heavy for a beer named after 35 ton stone. A tad too sweet for my taste buds.
