A 500ml bottle with a BB of June 2019. Purchased recently from Morrisons. Described on the label as a fruity golden ale brewed exclusively with Australian hop varieties.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A bright golden-amber colour with excellent clarity and good carbonation. Produces a large head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before collapsing and dissipating.
S: Aroma of mild fruity hops with hints of subtle tropical fruit, a touch of melon, ale yeast, light grainy malt and a huge whiff of buttery diacetyl. Would probably be better if it had been matured for longer.
T: Tastes of subtle fruity hops with notes of mild tropical fruit, faint white grape/melon, ale yeast, grainy malt and a touch of leafiness. Marred by a substantial diacetyl presence that spoils the character. Quite dry, followed by an understated bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and a somewhat insubstantial body. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of diacetyl, subtle fruity hops, ale yeast and pale malt.
O: Meh - overpromises and underdelivers. Which is a pity, as the promise sounded nice. Looks OK, while the aroma and flavour are dominated by diacetyl and offer only watery hop and pale malt undertones. So-so body; a tad watery. More time in the conditioning tank and this might have been a completely different beer. Caveat emptor.

Bottle. Insipid gold colour. A quickly diminishing head.
New world leafy hop smell. Some grain.
As per aroma. A bit of citrus. Quite bitter.
Insubstantial body.
Rather forgettable.
