All of our Vintage Ales are very special beers. We've created a new recipe every year since 1997, picking the best ingredients at the time, to make a strong beer with a complex character. This version is brewed with Pilot, CF299 & Target hops and Pale Ale & Extra Dark Crystal malts.

Copenhagen 28/12 2025. 50 cl bottle in a burgundy box from Private Selection, Rødovre Centrum, Rødovre. Simle off-white label with the logo of the brewery in gold and the name of the beer in black. It is of course numbered to give me the feeling, that I am indeed drinking something rare and exclusive.
Pours clear dark amber with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Frothy. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with some sweet ripe fruit mingling with a tart and sour fumes. Sweet peach and plum. Caramel. Tart berries, citrus and a hint of glue.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong tart, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is a little tart with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
English Strong ale with an unexpected tat streak.

500 ml bottle in cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.4%. Beautiful clear chestnut colour, large to moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits (particularly figs and raisins), also toffee, fruit cake and caramel. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, moderate bitterness. Delicious.
