Notes: One of the first light lagers brewed with pale malt and a touch of caramel and red wheat malts giving it a wonderful golden hue. The classic cluster hops round out this crisp, clean lager leaving a touch of fruity esters.

More flavor than any other light beer I have had. This beer has more flavor than some regular standard AALs. The only light beer I regularly have in my fridge. Mostly a summer beer for me.

This is just an average light beer, typical soapy white head, not much lacing on the glass. Flavor is bland and watery.I would not try this again.

Taste and aroma is faint malts, rather watery and a beery finish. Only a very slight off note in it, otherwise it was as expected in not being very much to it.

As far as beers go, I must admit that I do not care for the majority of products in the "Light" category. Some, such as Bud Light, are completely undrinkable to me. I would like to further qualify my comments by saying that I do enjoy a good "working man's brew" and love finding the hidden gems in the line-ups of legacy brewers such as Leinenkugel's. This is one of those gems.

Leinenkugel's Light has a darker color than one might imagine, darker than many of the "non light" American adjunct lagers, and a good taste to go along with it. I may be in the minority here, but this is the lone example of where I prefer the "Light" derivative over the full-bodied version (in this case Leinenkugel's original). Leine's Light is simply just a refreshing brew, perfect after a long day out in the sun. We always seem to have a case on hand during the summer.

It's rumored that Leine's Light has been discontinued. It has come close to this fate on a number of occasions and I simply hope that does not happen. It would be disappointing to part ways with the one "Light" product that stands out as being simply a fine beer!

One of my cousin's favorite beers. Yikes. Appearance for the light lager style is fine, little high in carbonation. The smell and taste are the same, both feature adjunct corn sweetness, wheated grains, little skunkiness, and lots of malt. Feel is drier, which helps the drinkability a lot, but still has harshness unnecessarily

This pours a pale yellow hue with a foamy white head. The aroma is light with grain and yeast. The taste is thin, watery, and grainy. For being a “light beer” at least this has some decent flavor to it. Drink very easy leaving a lingering grain taste. Considering the price, this would be a better option than Miller Lite or Bud Light.
