Crisp weiss beer gets a little lift from an enticing blend of blackberries, elderberries and loganberries. Our Leinenkugel’s® Berry Weiss brings them together for a flavor that’s deliciously different and available all year long.

The lightly hazy pink tinged beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1” fluffy pink head that slowly but visibly recedes to a cap and then a thin irregular island of foam on the surface and a thin ring around the glass while leaving some rings and a web and a sheet of lacing on the sides. Sipping creates a couple of arches of foam and lots of scattered patches and legs of lacing.
The aromas are mostly about the mixed berries and are noticeable even before the pour.
The flavors are filled with mixed berries with some sweetness and just a bit of light tartness. Except for the sweetness from the malt neither the malt nor the bitterness of hops are showing here.
The mouthfeel is light bodied and a bit prickly with the moderate persistent carbonation. The finish begins as the sweetness begins to fade allowing the tartness and berry flavors to show more strongly as they too begin to fade away. What bitterness there is shows in the semi-sweet lightly tart berry tinged ending.
Overall this is a reasonably drinkable beer that would go well and be refreshing on a warm summer day. It’s noticeably sweet and slightly tart with the various berry flavors showing at different times throughout. That said I’d probably not want to have two in a row and I’ll not be seeking out another. Beer that tastes like fruit punch isn’t my thing.

As someone who doesn't like bitterness, loves berries and enjoys wheat style beers the most, this actually goes ridiculously hard
Absolutely solid, only getting a 67 score on this website is absolutely criminal

Way too berry foward. Almost more wine like in my opinion.

Really a terrible beer (and I’m a big Leinenkugel fan) taste was disgustingly sugary. Had a nice complexion and a good smell but unfortunately that was it.

It’s such a good flavor. Can never get enough of it- okay that’s a lie. I don’t get that wasted on these. Even if it’s very sweet it’s a good sweet in my opinion.
