Marzoni's Golden Ale
Marzoni's Brick Oven & Brewing Company
Style: Tripel
ABV: 8.50 %
Pours a clear golden color, soapy white head forms and lasts the duration. Aroma of green grape, Belgian yeast, and candi sugar sweetness. In the flavor profile, Belgian yeast with pear and grape notes, bready malts, alcohol and an estery sweetness. Good Belgian flavor but a bit sweet, and definitely boozy. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and well carbonated. Overall, a pretty decent tripel, a bit sweet, but not too bad.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a cloudy, straw yellow color with a very small white head. The aroma is milder. It contained notes of fruits, yeast and breadiness. I was hoping the aroma would pick up as it warmed, but it stayed kind of light. The taste was good. It was somewhat bready and slightly sweet. There were some fruits evident, noteable slight pineapple and banana. Also a slightly peppery finish. Nice.

I had this brew on-tap at the Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford, Pa.
Appearance: It poured a cloudy gold color with a small head providing thin lacing from ok retention.
Smell: Good balance between hops and malts, hops were spicy and not florally.
Taste: Again a good balance between the hops and malts, but the spice really came through in the taste,
Mouthfeel: Nice and ridgid, pretty crisp.
Drinkability: Fairish.
Don't drink and review.
