on tap at Marzoni's Hollidaysburg last Saturday.
cloudy bordering on murky body. Small head dissipates to a thick ring, little in the way of lacing.
Faint aroma of peppery spices. A bit of a head cold didn't help.
Good tasting brew though. promised banana doesn't come through, but there is a pleasing peppery/rye bitterness with a strong malt background making for an enjoyable drink.
Above medium on the mouth, slightly dry and spicy on the finish.
Enjoyed the first one so much, got another in the larger serving. Nice complement to a good beef stew. Only had a few Weizenbocks in my time, this was a good one.

This is one of their "Brewer's Choices". These beers are usually the stars, and these are what makes me visit Marzoni's. The brewers at Marzonis put together a nice weizenbock.
This one has a slight fruity and malt nose. The taste is great I think. Slight citrusy and fruit with a malty sweetness in the background. I do not know what the ABV is on this one, but it was undetectable. This one goes down smooth. My wife even enjoyed a pint of it.
