Tasted this beer at my local Wetherspoon's pub in East End London. The beer pours a slightly hazy, dark orangey golden hue, with no head and a very low carbonated body--looking flat... The smell is like a mixture of honey and slightly fermented peach or prune juice, with an interesting salted, sourly-sweet nose of malts and hops--very different the nose is. On the palate, a salt-preserved prune flavour, preserved pears, and slightly pine-nuty taste make their marks--on balance, salty-sweet fruity with a bit of honey-like flavour, turning a little hoppy and semi-dryish in the aftertaste, though not lingering. Overall the mouthfeel is smooth, or a bit flat and watery in the end--guess it's the work of the slightly-off condition. Not a bad beer, actually a very different one. But it has to be ve...ry ve...ry fresh to be tasty and revealing more pleasant hoppy elements, and there's no argue about that.
