Jäkel is a Finland Swedish word meaning e.g. devil or drink/shot/dram. Belgian classic Duvel was an inspiration as Jäkel is golden strong Belgian ale hopped with Saaz. But unlike Duvel, Jäkel is heavily bitter-hopped with Hallertau Magnum. The estery and fruity aromas are balanced with slight clove nuances. Very bitter after-taste, but still quite drinkable. Jäkel was made at Vanhan Porvoon Panimo.
