The house brand at the Unicorn Pub in Calgary, served on tap - $15 for a jug on happy hour. Crystal clear, light brown color with a small white head. Not any strong aroma, light hops and some grainy sweetness. Full flavoured - nice balance between the malt and hop bitterness with a nice crisp finish. Not much carbonation, but you do get some "cream ale" mouthfeel. Easy to drink sessional whenever I am at the Unicorn.

(Served on tap at the Unicorn Pub in Calgary in a tall imperial pint glass)

A- Light brown clear body with no carbonation visible and a pure white head

S- Light honey sweet smell

T- Full peppery hop bitterness with a faint maltyness. cooked corn finish with a hint of alcohol warmth.

M- Medium mouthfeel with a creaminess even though it has a low carbonation. a very slight astringent mouthfeel at the end.

D- I enjoyed the burst of hops that I didn't expect from a Cream Ale but it has a bit of alcohol warmth and to much corn sweetness at the finish.

This is brewed exclusively for the Unicorn Pub on the Stephen Avenue mall in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

Hazed amber in appearance, decent frothy cap of head on the pint. Sweet malt and light floral hops on the nose. Sweet malt character to the flavour, citrus tones are present, and flowery hops on the finish. The mouthfeel is a little on the watery side. However I found this stuff very drinkable and quite refreshing, it makes a good session ale, and The Unicorn is a comfortable environment to do such a thing. It's not quite what I have in mind regarding a cream ale per se, it's more of a pale ale to my palate, but a decent beer all the same.
