Light toasted caramel sweetness teamed with a smooth finish. Touches of earthy wood/grassiness from the hops. The California Common was a beer style invented in San Francisco during the Gold Rush. Before refrigeration, steam clouds could be seen over the Bay as the hot wort was cooled. Northern Brewer hops are typically used in this style and ours is no different, showcasing notes of wood, earthy pine and mint notes.

650ml bottle poured into tulip.
Pours a clear, bright copperwith one finger of tan head that leaves Monument Valley archway lace as it recedes.
Smells of singed caramel, bread crust, roasted walnut, browning apple, bruised mint leaves, cut wood, wet grass and mild pine resin.
Tastes of more roasted caramel malt, walnut skin, soft orchard fruit, pine resin and more minty herbal hops.
Feels soft and full. Hefty medium body with frothy carbonation. Finishes dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Very solid, and fits nicely with the current rainy weather in Edmonton.
