About Us.
Serious beer lovers.
We are experienced with the wonderful world of brewing (8,000 years and counting), yet have been tossed about by corporatised mega brewers year after year. These big brewers have dumbed down the world’s oldest beverage and the beautiful craft associated with it.
One of us founded craft brewing in Australia and another is his son, now our brewer…who grew up in breweries, maltings and, sadly (for a youngster) …Pubs.
The other is a beer tragic who has spent a large portion of his career working with a mega brewery trying (and failing) to convince them to focus upon the beer rather than market profiling, brand management, channel management and cost cutting.
Meet Phil Sexton, his son Harry, and Andy Dunn.

This small venue, hidden in a Brunswick side street, houses an equally small bar and kitchen. Eight offerings are on tap, including the sole beer in the core range, which is their excellent pilsner.
There's seating both outdoors and indoors, with a modern feel in both. An alternative music list backs the typical Brunswick St. trendy vibe, and chill beats are pumping from the speakers. Surprisingly, (to an old fogey like me) there's a DJ lounge upstairs, which not unexpectedly (once I got over the fact there was a DJ lounge upstairs!) leans heavily into the vibe and atmosphere described above.
I didn't eat from the kitchen, so that goes unrated. Still, given the location and the eating competition in the bar's neighbourhood, I would expect tasty offerings afoot.
Cheers
