Look: pours with a semi-fizzy but solid off-white head. Beer itself is a pale yellowish-pink color (much more attractive than it sounds!)
Smell: watermelon, basil, lemony tartness, and salinity. Almost like watermelon lemonade.
Taste: subtle but present watermelon sweetness, some flavor from the basil blends well with the lacto tartness and clearly present salt. Very refreshing!
Feel: somewhat thin as a gose should be, prickly carbonation meshes well with the tartness.
Overall: Defintely not a traditional gose - salty but has a clear sweetness and basil flavor. This is a really tasty and refreshing beer which is unique for the style. Maybe a little less salinity would make it better, but very good as is.
