I am a huge fan of Creature Comforts and have always loved their IPAs! That being said, this collaboration with Bell's failed. I was really looking forward to tasty a collaboration with 2 great breweries. Not sure what happened here, but it reminded me of a generic beer from years ago with a strong alcohol taste. The rating I give is generous.

Look: dark straw, clear body. Lots of carbonation. Millimetre head retained throughout. Honestly looks like a draft Coors Light (not necessarily a bad thing)
Smell: Lemon, slightest tropical fruit (guava?), some slightly yeasty/bready notes.
Taste: Dusty lemon pith. Some sweet bready malt mid-palate, a slightest alcoholic/orange zest burn, and Medicinal, aspirin-y finish.
Feel: The intense carbonation and hoppy mouth feel definitely earns its "Cold" moniker. This would be a lot better with a lower ABV IMO.
This tastes like a hopped-up version of the CC table beer. Just sort of comes off as uninspired and two breweries mailing it in and resting on their (well deserved) laurels. I don't get this beer and cannot justify a $18 price point for a 4 pack. Not a bad beer by any means, but the price point is bonkers. Is it just me or is CC slipping a little in quality/inventiveness?

Appearance: Bright clear gold, fluffy white head with good retention, slow rising bubbles
Aroma: Pine, citrus, grassy
Flavor & Aftertaste: Pine, citrus, earthy/grassy. Dry with moderate bitterness that builds.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, dying, moderate carbonation. short clean crisp finish with lingering bitterness.
Overall: An annual collab from Creature. This is with Bell's. Features Simcoe, Cascade, Strata, Amarillo, and Mosaic, so there are lots of complex aromas and flavors. Most prominent to me were the signature Mosaic pine up front, some citrus and an earthy/grassy note. Has a nice clean, lager like fermentation profile and finish, but with a more traditional West Cost IPA bitterness that is not overpowering. This is right up there with the Collab with Allagash in my book. Excellent.

Thanks Willie.
Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking golden yellow color capped by a small finger's worth of white foamy head softly dissipating. Some lace dotted the sides of the glass.
The aroma had some citrusy hops up front playing with some clean malts. Light floral sweet hoppy character beneath.
The flavor blended nicely between the citrus and floral hops adding some clean malts nicely. Slight aftertaste of citrus and clean malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about. Certain amount of dryness hits my tongue but mostly non-bothersome. Good carbonation and ABV. Slight finish of citrus hops and clean malts, somewhat dry.
Overall, pretty nice American IPA, I'd have again.
