This is a solid beer, but it taste more like a brown than an amber ale. I'm not generally fond of brown ales, which I know is a me problem, but this Reclaimed Rise has an acceptable flavor. That said, I do prefer Reclaimed Rye.

Poured from a 12oz can into a tulip glass. Appearance is dark amber/brown in color with one finger thick creamy head. Caramel is heavy roasted coffee with caramel malt balancing out. Some butterscotch and toffee flavors are also noticeable. Taste is a smooth amber ale with enough roasted coffee to keep it interesting without overpowering the base. Some chocolate and a touch of oak are present. This is fairly dry for the style but well balanced since the bitterness is held in check. Mouthfeel is creamy and medium bodied with a nice effervescence throughout.
Overall, this is an interesting take on the classic amber ale aged in French Oak and coffee with great execution. I am typically not a huge fan of the style, but this beer knocks it out of the park. Excellent balance, very drinkable, great roasted coffee flavors. Well done.
