Poured from can into tulip, good 2+ finger dark tan head, good retention and lacing. Jet black in the glass, no light passes thru. Big coffee and roast malt on the nose, some chocolate peaks thru. Taste follows the nose, roasted malt up front with a big coffee hit, followed up by some cocoa before it finishes off in a slight bitter finish. Residual chocolate/coffee on the palate. For it's weight it drinks rather well. These can's I found in the fridge are by no means fresh, they are perhaps 2+ years old but the coffee is still punching its weight.

16 ounce can with no canned on date. Poured into tulip glass.
The pour is black, no bones about it. Semi aggressive pour leads to a hefty khaki head of at least 2 fingers. Big foamy lacing on the glass.
Nose of char, heavy roast, malted milk, bakers chocolate, leather.
Semi sweet chocolate, vanilla, lightly roasted coffee, molasses, roast.
Mouthfeel is big and chewy for the abv.
I’m really enjoying this one. No adjuncts, no barrel just a new classic American stout.

L - 2.5 finger dense mocha head atop a cola-black body.

S - tons of semisweet chocolate, roast, and vanilla.

T - damn. Super-roasty, with gobs of semisweet chocolate. Smoke, vanilla, anise. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - quite bitter and roasty, but a treat to drink.
