Pearson is a fruited ale aged in oak barrels that showcases locally sourced peaches from Fort Valley, Georgia's @pearsonfarmga. We selected the Elberta peach, the original king peach of Georgia, to feature in the 2018 vintage. We then determined select barrels to create a blend that honors the flavors of the chosen peach variety.

Poured from a 2018 bottle at the creature comforts tasting room into a snifter. Color is a slightly hazy Golden with a drop of orange, poured with half fingers worth of head that dissipates completely after a few minutes. Nose is still pungently reflective of ripe peach with a hint of sugar. Mouthfeel with fine carbonation and taste is creamy peach with a semi dry finish. All in all a fantastic peachy saison, though I’m probably somewhat biased by the name.

L - 1/2 finger ephemeral offwhite head atop a translucent yellow body.

S - peaches for days. Brown sugar, vinegar.

T - follows the nose. No bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. No booziness.

F - light body with appropriate carb.

O - very tasty.

I'd lean more towards classifying this as a fruit beer than a wild or sour, but we're just splitting hairs, really.

Pearson pours a cloudy apricot color with tons of fruit to the nose. The taste is tremendously fleshy with plenty of discernible peach skin as well. So much peach. I can almost taste the fuzz, it's uncanny. Mild funk, tartness, sourness - predominately sweet fruit though. Very subdued carbonation - not flat, but definitely not fizzy or effervescent in any way. I rather prefer it that way.

While it's just a bit thin, it's delicious - I really enjoyed Pearson. This isn't quite a Fen Tao killer - they're markedly different beers - but damned if it isn't on the right track.

Huge peach aroma, fresh peach flesh, sweet, earthy and juicy. Lightly tart, moderate sweetness. Just under medium body and soft carbonation. The aroma jumps out of the glass. Tiny collar on a slightly hazed straw colored brew. Great overall fruited beer.

Pours a slightly cloudy apricot color with a thin head that settled pretty quickly.
Peach on the nose, slight funk, light barrel, earthy.
Taste follows, lots of fleshy peach, some funk, light wine and oak from the barrel, slight tartness.
Medium body, good carb levels, dry finish.
Overall a well balanced peach sour, the sweet peach balances the tartness, funk and barrel are present but not overbearing.
