Appearance: Pours an ominous, meddlesome black body with a very thin, near non-existent ring of tan suds.
Smell: Roasted malt, sweet chocolate sauce with whipped cooked sugars, tiny dollop of cream, mildly vegetable, herbal tones and a curt splash of soy.
Taste: Mixture of sweet blonde caramel, a light nuttiness, smooth roastiness and a distinct chocolate flavor with a noted milky accent. Very subtle vegetal/herbal pepper, very restrained cinnamon. There's really not much at first, but a little spicy heat does accumulate on the tongue as you go. Sweet yet lightly spicy finish with some welcome alcohol warmth.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-light carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: Pretty solid.
